Anti-wrinkle injections and dermal fillers are two very different treatments used for skin rejuvination and to make you look younger.  Anti-wrinkle injections work by temporarily reducing the movement in your facial muscles, which results in softer lines and a smoothing out of wrinkles.  Dermal fillers plump up your facial volume which gives you a more youthful and smoother appearance. 

As you age you lose volume in your face from fat and bone loss, as well as from collagen breakdown.  Your skin becomes more lax and you start to notice a sagging appearance and hollows where there werent before.  Dermal fillers replace this volume loss and plump up the face, for instance in your cheeks, or the folds by the side of your mouth or in your tear trough area.  The result?  You look fresher and younger.  Dermal fillers can also be used in the lips to give a subtle amount of extra volume, or if you like it a more sexy, volumous pout.  When fillers are added to the skin they automatically smooth out overlying lines.  Dermal fillers can take years off your face.

When injected by an experienced injector they are safe, but you need to proceed with caution and there are potential side effects that need to be discussed.  Antiwrinkle injections injected at the right dose and in the right areas xxxx.  Dermal fillers carry a higher risk when being injected.  Before any procedure you will be consented.

When you come for your appointment there will be an initial consultation to discuss what you would like.  If you wish to proceed with treatment you will be consented and photos will be taken, then you will have the procedure.  The whole process generally takes about 30minutes, but if you are wanting multiple treatments across a few areas then you will need a longer consultation time.
